From 2015 to 2022, Ulrike Grossarth initiated a public project space, ‘SYMBOL gotowe/ sklep’,  in Lublin for the visual processing of European cultural archives.
This involved an artistic practice of linking various cultural, geographical, and intellectual-historical approaches drawn from Central-Eastern European archives and Western European repositories of knowledge and culture.

The illustrated volumes of the ‘Encyclopédie Diderot & D’Alembert’—the groundbreaking work of the Enlightenment published in 1751—also play a significant role in this process. The collection of visual and textual motifs that has emerged over the years is currently being further developed and discussed in exhibitions, lectures, and workshops.

Another key focus is the cultural and intellectual void created by the Shoah and the eradication of Jewish traditions of thought and teaching in Europe. Her aim is to draw on selected sources from this tradition and translate them into an art practice driven by different motivations, one whose content focuses on anthropological and economic questions. This also includes the study of the Talmud, which she has been practicing in various study groups since 2012.
